I had an appointment at 9:00 a.m. with Charter Communications, for an interview to be a Customer Service Rep.

Well, about two weeks ago is when I applied online, and I didn't think I'd get an interview because of my limited experience (only my current job involves sales, and I've only had this job for about 5 weeks).

So basically, I relied on a well written, strong, and honest cover letter for the resume I submitted online.

Well, apparently someone was impressed, because I was called in for the "asessment" test on Friday.

Anyways, when I finished my interview with the supervisor today, he told me that usually he makes the applicants sit outside in the waiting area while he makes a descision, but he was impressed with my interview, so he offered me the job.

I start Monday. I just want to say "Yeeeeaaaaahhhhh!!!" Now I can go back to college......I'm so excited.

cool, its always nice to start fresh somewhere, and they are allready impressed it sounds like, so good luck to ya!

Thanks bro. Yeah, it's not so much that I wanted to start fresh, it's just that I needed a more stable job. After I quit at GSF, things have sucked because of the decrease in pay relative to what I make at Tilly's. My hobby took the biggest hit, and I haven't been able to accomplish some projects I was looking into.

I got an interview/training too. Tiss the season to find a job!

Cool. Where you working at? I'm going to be 20yrs old soon, so no more messing around until I finish college, lol. Truthfully, I could start a career at Charter, and climb the latter as I finish more of my education and earn more degrees. But I always envisioned myself with a job I love. Curator for a public aquarium, LFS owner, psychologist, blah, blah, blah, lol.

yeah, not that you wanted to start fresh, I mean its nice to get comfy somewhere and be able to be situated, but its still cool  to find a better job and still do school is worth it on its own. i recently put in my 2 weeks and they offered me a dollar more AND to work around my crazy school schedule....MTWTh 10-11 AM and MTWTh 6-8:40 PM  so its nice to find a flexible place that pays well.... :D

Congrats, SoCal! :thm:  :dance2:

I agree with Lime.... Flexibility and good pay are a nice combo! My job is WAY flexible, but it sure doesn't pay for $%!&!

LOL!
(I'm a stay home mom) :p:

Congrats!
I just quit my job as a Customer Service Rep/Support Service Rep. after 3 years!
Now I'm going back to school, and moving for the first time in my life... it's going to be interesting! :)
Hope it works out for you.
