to put in a little 20 gallon, is anything special required to get them to breed? I got 1 male and 2 females. and, will they eat the babies after, do i need some of that bushy stuff to get my babies to survive

You don't have to do anything special. Chances are the females are already pregnant. Some bushy stuff would definitely help some babies survive, otherwise they will probably all get eaten.
You could add 1 more male and 3 more females if you like to keep the males busy.
IF ANY FRY ARE BORN I WOULD TRY AND MOVE THEM TO A SMALLER TANK,
but if you dont have this option the addition of some floating plants and keeping the adults well fed should help some of the fry survive.
