I have a bully in my tank and he is picking to only two of the other peacocks, I dont have room to move him and he is also the nicest fish in the tank looks wise what can i do?
lol thats a common problem keeping cichlids. they are freaking dominant but the killer aggresivness makes them a little more dificult. uping the numbers sounds like a good idea, but that may mean more water changes.
another option that im not sure would work quite as well is more rockwork and plants to cut down their line of site which would make it easier for the subdominant to escape its aggreser, as well as offer more caves and hiding spots to serve as territories/hiding spaces.
no females, all males. What's your male to female ratio like? Some dominant male peacocks won't tolerate males at all, and will even bully females around. The larger the harem of females to males, the more the aggression is spread around. There should be moments of peace in a peacock tank, but when the male is in the mood there's going to be some displaying and aggression. As long as no one gets hurt or singled out you're okay.
