I have a clown loach that hasn't grown since I bought him. I bought three of them about 3 months ago, and at the time they were tiny.

Now two of them are about three inches, but one hasn't grown at all. It's still tiny. It swims around and is active in the tank and seems healthy.

It seems like it is the total runt of the litter. I don't know.

Any ideas as to why it doesn't grow at all while every other fish in the tank does?

That is odd. Are you suplementing them? Have you seen him eat? He may be just that the runt of the group and my not be getting an abundance of food, but even so he should have grown.

yeah it eats..but a lot less than the other fish. I feed all my fish new life spectrum. I thought it might have a parasite, but I figured if it did, it would be dead by now.

hes probably last on the list on the eating order, the runt & could be stunted.reminds me of 2 raphaels I had 1 grew to 2 inches slowly & stopped the other exceeded 6 inches easily. the small one was also susceptable to illness & died prematurely. the big one I sold back 12 years later. The question is what stunts their growth & did it happen b4 your tank.probably.
I get imaciated fish from lfs alot,,, almost always (they underfeed to keep tanks clean) & in some cases they dont grow back right haveing contours(indented lines along body) or small head & tail after overfeeding them.(don't we all overfeed our own fish just a little) I don't mean unhealthfuly fat ,just wholesome.2 of my yo-yo loaches I saved are YAYA loaches . they were so thin they never grew out propperly & will never read yoyo but they are realy cute the way they swim lankily. the 3rd was already stout when I got him & always swam straight & rigged but the other 2 kinda wag around(snakelike) with round bellies & little tiny heads .I'm just glad they recovered, I thought 1 was a goner 4 sure. sorry 2 here about your danio ,youve been haveing alot of bad luck lately with your tank.
