I'm starting up one of my tanks for a planted tetra tank, and I'm wondering if you needed Co2 to have a planted aquarium or not. Thank you in advance for input.

I have a standard 29g and a bowfront 26 gallon planted with T5 lighting, which I dose 3mL of excel daily. Both have been set up over a year, with no algae problems. If you don't go pressurized co2, I'd def recommend dosing w/excel daily with weekly water changes.
Not necessary. Some plants enjoy it (ok, well all plants enjoy it

Just having surface agitation will give your tank the 3ppm or whatever amount of co2 is in the atmosphere. Escel definitely helps as well.
