I'm starting up one of my tanks for a planted tetra tank, and I'm wondering if you needed Co2 to have a planted aquarium or not. Thank you in advance for input. :D

I have a standard 29g and a bowfront 26 gallon planted with T5 lighting, which I dose 3mL of excel daily. Both have been set up over a year, with no algae problems. If you don't go pressurized co2, I'd def recommend dosing w/excel daily with weekly water changes.

Not necessary. Some plants enjoy it (ok, well all plants enjoy it :P )

Just having surface agitation will give your tank the 3ppm or whatever amount of co2 is in the atmosphere. Escel definitely helps as well.
