I have a quick question about how to find out how many gallons a tanks holds.

I was wondering if any of you know how to find how many gallons a tank is. Do you just like use a ruler to measure the side's horizontally and then measure the front or back side vertically and then like multiply it? Thanks!

length X width X height (in inches) divided by 231 = gallons
