Hi all . . . I have a shy fish problem. Every time someone goes over to the tank to look at fish . . . low and behold . . . there's no fish! They are always hiding. I have a well established 55gallon tank . . . with two semi- large blood parrots [one male and one female] . . . one semi large jack dempsy . . . one semi large firemouth [or is it fire throat?] . . . and one large placosta you know what alge eater. The thing is that these fish seem to only swim about when no one is in the room or the light is off. Why aren't they always swimming about even though people are looking at them? Please Help!

Thank you. ;0)

Usually If I have a room light one where they can see me moving throughout the room those fish are a lot less timid then fish in darker rooms, and btw your tank is overstocked, or it will be as the fish grow, and you will probably have aggression problems.
