its from carib sea , I dont want to order it through my petstore cause its $25 bucks for 20 lbs of it. an carib sea doenst sell the public

its called super naturals marine sand , but its for fresh or saltater tanks, my freshwate fish love it
 
Sorry this not the best solution but you can buy white playing sand at homedepot.

no i dont want it as its powdery and it is calcium based,

this stuff I got sinks to the bottom just like th blue and black sand you can find

i was just wondering if there is a place online that sells it other than carribsea , or how I could get my hands on it without having to go through the petstore
 
If you buy the "washed" sand at home depot in the concrete area, it does what you're talking about. I've used it with great results. Also if your local home depot carries Southdown sand in there play sand area, it's exactly what you're looking for. It's the number one sand searched for by reefers due to it's cheap cost.

Marine, try PetSmart online. I saw a bag of "Reef Sand" at a PetSmart near me recently...I'm pretty sure it's the same thing you're talking about. I bought some for my shelldwellers, it's very fine and settles to the bottom rather quickly. I too am very pleased with the stuff. The bag I saw was only about 21$ for a 20lb bag. I also bought some 5lb bags at a lfs for about 5$ each...only I got them for 3$ each because I bought a whole case of them (six bags).
