I'd be skeptical myself being that cigarettes are involved. By that you would have to take apart one to get the media. No telling what all it has came in contact with prior to and during packaging of the tobacco. But a very interesting idea to say the least. Would definately like to hear more on this.
"NO! i really did quit. the pack of camels is for my fish tank! really! i havent smoked in a year!"
edit. wow as of tomorrow i haven't smoked for 10 months...WOOT!
I wonder if something else could work in a similar way, like tightly packed sponge or filter floss, perhaps? I don't do CO2 so I have no way to test---just brainstorming.
sorry I've not commented further in this thread....here are pics of my co2 setup with cig filter diffuser. I've had zero problems and the size of bubbles depends on how much filter is in the tube, more inserted will create smaller bubbles...if your bubble size increased I assume some of teh filter has slid out somehow. I have two DIY setups in the tank one has the bubbles releasing under the HOB filter discharge so they get blown around and the other had the bubbles released inside the cave thing so they collect under the cave and have none released to the surface...it's doing much better than I ever expected!!
I've heard that using chop sticks will yield the same results...will tryt that next time I order take out.
