The garlic isn't going to affect anything...get some researching going on vice posting at late hours to up that post count....if you are that worried about it, dilute the prime with an equal amount of water and dose like normal..heck, I dose Seachem's Garlic Guard straight to the tank vice soaking food in it....
If it is better for a feeder fish to die, l125, then I guess we all should stop fishless cycling then...
It's converted to chloride ions. Just like the one half of salt, not nearly as toxic. Chloramine causes hemolytic anemia in fish, it messes with the chemical in red blood cells that carry oxygen, I believe. When we drink it it doesn't get in our blood but it goes right in fishes' systems through the gills.
Yeah I knew how that worked. I had a pool at one point. I guess I never thought it through because in my head, after how people get about water treatment I assumed it gets broken down, like this bacteria is different or something haha. Guess I learn something new every day. Makes me mad when I should have connected the dots myself XD
My goodness, just toss the bottle and call it an expensive lesson learned, if you are that worried, lol.
I wish I had found a "nerdy" man that shared my habit, but alas, my dh has learned to just live with it. But he's the first to show people my tanks when they come over, and drag them out to the pond I dug, singing my praises.
