It's been a while since I've seen a good crab topic pop up, and with all the recent imports of these sweet little Geosesarma crabs I keep seeing, my guess is that more of you have the crabs than are letting on.

I'm thinking of converting my 15g into a crabitat.

I'm interested in your tank set ups, and how you've decided to manage the filtration and land areas. Do yours burrow? or tuck? Do they lean towards eating the wood and compost, or the meaty treats?

Don't keep it to yourself. Show us your crabs.

Heres my first crab tank, well my first aquarium ever. I know its a little tacky, especially the neon gravel, but gimme a break lol. It was from petsmart and of course I knew nothing and did not cycle. Suprisingly the little guys lasted for a long time, about 1.5 years. Its a 20g long, and I used one of those in tank under gravel filters. It sucked, wish I knew about canister filters back then! I really wanna make another crab tank, these guys are so cute. Need to get the cash together though lol

I'd really love to have crabs. Unfortunately I don't have the money to pay to get crabs- so I'm just going to have to hope one day someone gives me some without charging me.

... or wait until I can afford to buy some.

When that day comes and someone gives me crabs I'll post pictures of them for you in all their glory.

I'm not complaining at all don't get me wrong lol

I enjoy seeing how many different contexts the crab referrence can be used

Crabman is awesome...i love the pic too he looks like he's flexing lol
almost like he's saying "yah I'm the king of this castle"

Well if my apt wasnt so strict I would be all over a patriot right now. And probably a million other tanks lol. Maybe I can sneak a 20g in :idea:

He is the king of the castle. Sometimes I worry that he is alone but I am pretty sure he would kill anything else I put in with him. He has had guppies for companions but he wouldn't eat them so I ended up with a zillion guppies. LOL
