I have a 40g tank that I need some ideas to do with it. I want a community tank that can house a number of different species in it maybe 2 or 3 of each or something. It currently houses 3 angels,1gold Severum,1 bolivian ram 1 kribensis,1 cory catfish wich needs some freinds wich i'll be getting him, 1 blue crayfish, 2 irradescent sharks, and a pleco. It seems overstocked but it has got very good circulation. Any ideas to a community setting would be great.

P.S. all of these fish can be moved to other tanks that I have if needed. So ig you could give me a fresh idea basically starting out with new or different fish or else keeping a few. Also I was kinda leanin towards smaller fish like tetras and stuff.
thx

I KNOW!!!!!!!!!!
sorry bout that but I already put that it is overstocked(specially the sharks but anyways) I said I will be moving the fish to my larger 55g tanks. thats why i want ideas for the 40g

I think i want fish that move like congo tetra speed or slower so u can enjoy them i need some relaxing fish cause i look next to that and there are cichlids terring eachother to bits well maybe thats a bit exagerated but whatever

A large school of cardinals would look wonderful in your 40 gallon tank.

Or you coudl try other beatitful tetras such as the diamond, pretty, or lemon tetras.

I would personally vote you remove all the cichlids except one kind, have a pair of them (or you could keep all 3 angels) and lose the lobster if you want live and happy corys. As for small, pretty, slower fish, cardinal tetras would be great as suggested, or I really like the Harlequin Rasboras in my 40. Rummynose tetra are also pretty and on the calmer end of small schooling fish.

the lobster and the cory get along fine all the fish in the tank do they have been together for aabout 6 months half the time the cory and the lobster are in the same cave and the cory is not even 1 inch.

Take out the sharks.severum, angels, the ram and the crayfish and then add 3 more kribs and one more cory cat and youll be fine.

Get a betta.
