It appears as though the powerhead has done the trick. Almost everyone is acting normally. I have one other discus that is hiding in the bushes still breathing hard. Hopefully not too much damage was done and it will be ok. I am just sick that I didn't think to put in more air.

you said you dont normally use conditioner to does that conditioner declorinate the water.

did you declorinate the water? they could be hurt from the chlorine if you didnt.

I don't normally declor as I am on a well. I started using declor for my discus tank as they are more sensitive to the metals that are in water.

fingers crossed that the rest of your fish are fine. I am so sorry for the loss of your little guy. It really sounds like an oxygen issue especially since the others recovered. Maybe aging your well water with a powerhead is in order before water changes. I cannot express enough how sad I am for you as you take exemplary care of your critters. Thank goodness you noticed their distress and acted quickly.
