i need some planting tips because i took my first stab at it last night and it well...doesnt really look that great.

i have dwarf sag which looks the best.
Rotala rotundifolia which looks good

and then it went downhill for these two:
ludwigia repens
Mayaca fluviatilis

I have the dwarf sag along the front of the tank,
the rotala spread across the middle

then the ludwigia and mayaca is more or less planted in clumps around the middle to back of the tank, but no matter what i tried to do it doesnt look that great. Almost like it looks too cluttered.

I would really appreciate your tips!

yes, def. post a pic, and we'll be glad to help ya!! hard to envision it, otherwise.

I plant in groups. And am always changing them around trying to find what looks the best. It's a lot of trial and error.

Group up all the plants and place the tall ones at the back and the smaller ones in front of them. This will be better until they grow or you get more plants. It won't be as abre looking if you do this.

i grouped everything up last night and i think that it looks a lot better...no pics sorry.

i also stopped at the LFS and bought an anubias and it looks a lot better
(i also bought what is apparently a non aquatic plant)
thanks for the guidance
