Ok so I picked up a 55 gallon fish tank last month with the intent of turning it into a ram tank!

So i bought 15 blood fin tetras, and 10 black lace tetras, and 4 emerald cories to go with the 4 bumblebee cats. Once they were all in quarenteen I started the swap!

I painted the back black, re-siliconed the 4 corners (used tank insurance policy)

Bought some more play sand, and started combining fish tanks! I had a 30 gallon up and running that was housing the bloodfins, and a 29 gallon that was housing random fish. I broke the 29 completely down, and added that sand to the 50, as well as the reminants of the sand from the hex tank I have. Moved some rocks into it from my 75 gallon, and the rest of the drift wood I had in there too. Started filling with water, 30 from current tanks, and 25 new!

THen I ran to the good old home depot. I bought some clat pots, and some lights :) I bought two 4ft 2 bulb fixtures, and 4 6500K 40 watt 4ft bulbs, totalling 40 bucks.

then, well, you know how things go :)

Awesome..and love the rubberlip!

Thanks all :) Yea I love that guy! He always comes out to see me! THere are 5 rams in there, and I believe I've spotted one male out of the group, and they are starting to define their territories! They are still very skiddish around me, since I've only had them for about two weeks, most of that was spend in a quarenteen tank, so they've only been in the 55 for about three days! They are starting to eat with the rest of the fish, so with luck, soon they will be more active!
