I think Comcast is on to me....

I don't get cable, I use the bunny ears, but if I am not mistaken Leopardass i think hit it on the head, when you sign the form, you AGREE to pay for the service, you never signed anything, so if anything, fight it beacuase nothing legal has bound you to that service! Right?!?! Or am I just being a college kid and trying to get stuff for free? Wouldn't put that past me, lets face it, I wouldn't have said anything myself to the cable company nor would I complain about losing the channels. Nice work though

Do you not have the channels anymore? I don't know if you stated that or not

Last time a Comcast technician was at my house he told me that they no longer control access to premium channels with the old filter method at the cable box by your house. They now control access to those channels centrally at there office. In my area you have to have a digital or HDTV cable box to even get the premium channels. For the first few days i had my HDTV box i had all the premium movie channels but they went away after a week.

I'd be weary about calling Comcast's support line. If they notice that your recieving the premium channels and not paying for them, they might disappear!

Freudian slip?!?!!?

:thud: OH MY GOSH!!! I am sooo SORRY!!!!!! I seriously did not mean that!!

Haha, its okay ryk - it just struck me as awfully funny:)

Comcast does things funny. I recently ditched my DSL from verizon (it took them 3 weeks before I got tired of not having the DSL after the move) for comcast cable modem, and what I mean by them doing things funny is that, to get the cable modem alone would have been $60 but if I ordered Basic cable for $12 I could get the cable internet for $45. Now anser me this, why are they literaly giving away basic cable for free to internet subscribers? (cost of basic cable+internet $57 cost of internet alown $60)

Because they hope you'll park your butt on your couch from time to time and sit through their advertising. See, you are now a "cable subscriber" and can be worked into their statistics and be counted as a potential viewer for advertisers. You're now making them money. So, that three dollar differential is basically absorbed.

On similar lines.....

When I recently got Comcast High Speed internet for my home, I signed up for the "regular" package....a bandwidth consisting of a download speed around 2 megabits per second.

Since the day I had it installed, Im getting downloads of the PREMIUM package....4.1megabits per second!!!!!!!!!!!!! And still getting billed for the slower service.

I figure, heck, its their mistake and if they ever say squat, Ill claim I never knew any different.

All I know is I can download an mp3 in about 3 seconds!!!!!!! I love it!!!
