i hav 2 questions, though...

how do you get your plants so nice?


do the rams ever bother the rasboras?
 
I blame the substrate for the plants, its MTS (Mineral Top Soil) care of Jeta and very very rich in nutrients. I also dose trace elements every other day, and macro ferts with water changes. I also use about a 1/2 dose of Flourish Excel. 2nd reason for the plants is that they're from MG, so...they're...sweet.

The rams are still a little stiff around each other, but they have yet to give the rasbora or corys a second glance, theres even some endler/guppy fry in there that they simply don't care about. I keep everybody well fed (tiny meals multiple times a day) to avoid predation.

very nice, although you'll find your tanks are never "done" or finished. I mean, you could always add more light, but then you'll want Co2, and then you'll want better substrate, and then you'll want nicer fish, and then you'll want a saltwater tank, and then you'll want a reef, and then you'll not want a saltwater tank, and then you'll want to be Takashi Amano, and then you'll decide to start selling some of the extras, and then you'll start breeding some fish to help stock your tanks, and then you'll start selling some of the left over fish and plants, and then you'll start selling some fish large scale, and then you'll open a local fish store, and then you'll have to move to have a few more tanks, and then your gonna have to upgrade your store, ect.

lol for sure, by "done" I mean that; the period during which I was overhauling, rescaping and restocking the tank in major broad strokes has come to a close. For the most part I'm very pleased with the tank. But to prove your point...I'll be getting a couple more anubias to put on top of the new piece of wood for SURE here in a couple days when my wife plants her tank up. But I think before I tear this tank down and rehome inhabitants I'll be starting a nano invert project on my desk and doing new tanks in general.
