I think I asked this question before, on another thread, but I can't find it....

Anyway, is it normal for neons to peck at each other? I have 8 in a 10gal planted and there are 2 (I think) that just harrass and poke at the others all day long. (Its actually pretty funny when the two of them turn on each other!)

Are neons territorial at all? And does temp have anything to do with agression?

i should know,lol

Hmm, interesting, I had no idea. Everything you read about em says "peaceful" and I thought that meant amongst the group as well.

Thats good to know because I was starting to think they were psycho....they almost became my Angels lunch! =) J/K

Mine do that all the time

They're peaceful in the sense that they won't outright kill each other (most of the time) like many of the more aggressive fishes will. Stick a couple of male bettas together or some cichlids in a small tank and then you'll see what aggressive is.
