i want a catfish not to big though

is there any cat fish that doesnet get to big 2.5 inches is good enough size for me

Cory cats get about that size (larger species, like the green ones, anyway)

Or Oto's- they get to be about an inch and a half at the most.

School of 6 isn't much bio-load...

thanks for the info should i wait a couple weeks before i get one or two and what should i feed them? i just set my tank up about a week ago

portholes are a cousin of corydoras and only get to 4 inches

flagtails are also a cousin of corydoras but they get to 6 inches

I agree with the Ottocinclus cats, they are fun to watch if you have about 3 together. They also clean the bottom of the tank and eat some types of algea. I have 3 of them and they really like the algea tabs I feed the plecos.

Is your tank cycled and stable? If you're putting in cories you need a group of at least 6 of them. They need to be in a school.

If you don't want to get common aquarium catfish, you could try and find a Hara Hara.
