i want plants but dont know

i want some plants in my 10g but i dont know what kind to get i have only been in the hobby a couple weeks now almost a month so what would u suggest and how to take care of them? thanks

Another question is what sort of lighting do you have? Anyways a basic 3 plants that you can try would be java fern (attach to driftwood), anacharis, and crypts. All of those can survive at lower light levels and with minimal fertilization. Speaking of which a bottle of flourish (or something similar) should be enough for those plants.
