air pump really doesnt do anything so it will be for looks. depending on how your tank is set up and what you think looks good is where you should place it.
If possible, keep the air pump above the top water level in your tank. There are cases of water siphoning out of your tank on a loss of power and flooding a room. Never had much faith in the cheapy common check valves on the market. They get clogged up as does the airline tubing, and fail to work when you need them.
Divide the tank in half with a bubble wall?? huh. anyone here tried that?

It always advises on airpump packaging
that you should always ensure that the outlet isn't the lowest point on the cord, so that water doesn't get into the outlet.
Does everyone here do that? do you do it with All your cords?ie light,filter etc... anyone ever experience a problem from Not doing it?
