Getting back to the orginal topic:
Fish jump out when something is bothering them. Could be chemcials, and other fish.

Nah, he just gets excited during feeding time. He's learned to recognize the can of cichlid pellets I feed him, as opposed to chemicals and water conditioner, and he starts going nuts when he sees me pull it out from underneath. It's quite funny.

sadly enough my oscars have developed the same recognition. I feel them cichlid pellets and carnivore pellets (the one with the arowana on the bag...the name slips me and I dont want to go upstairs) for most of their diet and theyve recognized both as opposed to others. Theyve also recognized my trend of defrosting Prawns on the crossbar with the lid open for them. Unfortunately the other day the black tiger oscar realized he could knock it in the tank and had an early feast of frozen prawns. Im now defrosting them elsewhere. :D

*off-topic* with all the argueing going on in here it makes me wonder what was said! Reason PM me what you said that got people offended too quickly Im being nosey! :D
