ive been treating one of my tanks for ich with salt and raised temp for about a week now, and everything is going great except one of the fish now has a little eye fungus. i was kind of expecting fungus because this was a pretty bad outbreak of ich. my question is, should i add fungus medicine to the tank? my hospital tank is currently holding baby johanni's, so i cant remove the fungus fish. the tank is currently at 2.5 teaspoons of salt per gallon and its a 29 gallon tank. the temp is at 85, and the water is testing perfect. any help is greatly appreciated.

Is it cottony or slimy looking? If it's slimy, it's not fungus but bacter. Fungus doesn't do well in higher temperatures, so I would suspect this is bacteria. If it is, I would treat with maracyn or maracyn II. Also, do more water changes, as healing is usually speeded up with cleaner water.

his eye looks cloudy. The center of his eye is completly white. Is it safe to ad meds to the tank while there still being treated with the salt?

If it's something that salt cannot cure, I would imagine you would have to if it's bacterial... it won't go away on its own. Unless the medication reacts with salt, you should be able to, however, you'll be stressing the fish out even more than the salt is already.

Yes, it's safe to do heat/salt with most medications, especially bacterial remedies.
