I've had two of my three young clown loaches die in the last two days. The second and third (still living) have the white spots that I've researched and discovered to likely be Ich. I've read that Clown Loaches are prone to this, should I go ahead and treat the tank anyway. In other words, since they are prone, will it still spread? No other fish have the spots.

Thanks!

Parasites spread--in the case of ich, the parsite attaches inside the gills, where it's difficult to spot until emerging as the white spots you now see. Yes, you will need to treat the entire tank, or you risk creating a reservoir population that will infect your fish during times of stress. Heat and salt are effective, and IMB far easier than any of the medications. Make sure you treat for a minimum of 4 weeks past the last visible symptom.

btw- what is IMB? Is it business? Did you make that up? Where's the abv. dictionary on this site?
