Have read that article and others, just trying to be sure of things.
Sorry if I came across as pushy. There are unfortunately a lot of myths abounding on the subject of ich. And it is never bad to look for multiple sources of information. Most LFS's have a very limited if any understanding of most things that go on in an aquarium. LFS's are also very very succeptable to popular myths. As a rule the last place I look for good info is at the fish store. This does not mean that all LFS's are bad, or all LFS employees are wrong. It is however an unfortunate situation that many people trust their LFS completely and are usually mis-informed. If you google ich, there is a lot of information pertaining to catfish farms, and that is where the majority of studies are done. the agricultural side of the fish world tends to be far more scientific and far less prone to myth. I guess having a huge vested interest in results tends to make the research stronger. not to mention the funding for good research is available in agriculture and not readily so in the aquarium hobby.
