ich on tank walls?!?!

my glass catfish has ich...but I'm seeing it on tank walls, too! I know ich can't survive over 48 hours without being on a fish. also I scraped it off with a magnetic cleaner. is this normal for ich? I never knew the sides of the tank could get ich too........???

hmm...i've never seen ich or have known of ich to attach on tank walls...maybe it's just algea? Cause i know i've had some white things on my walls and it's just been like a type of algae.

it wasn't eggs...it was scattered all over

I have NEVER heard of ich being on walls of a fish tank, and so far I don't think it is. My guess would defiantly be a kind of algae or fungus.

ich does not attach to solid objects for the cyst phase, only to live flesh.

Not ich. The cysts are a product of the parasite entering another phase of its life-cycle which requires the fish itself. For the most part this is the only visible form of their lives.
