Hi! One of my Goldfish seems to have Ich, but I read many articles about ich and couldn't get all the answers. He is a Fantail with long long fins. First these little white spots appeared on his long tail. They are about 1 mm in diameter, two of them, and looked like bumps more than just spots. It made his tail fin curl a little. He had a similar bump on the head but that one went away after the first treatment for Ich. Now he got two more same bumps on the dorsal fin. When the bumps seemed to break a stringy line dragged after the white bump, when it went away a red streak appeared going straight from the bump down the entire fin. We have two goldfish with lots of room and filtration and keep the tank water changed and clean at least once a week if not more often than that, and I have no idea where this guy got this. The other Goldfish had a similar but just one small bump on the tail fin and it went away after the first treatment and never reappeared. But the fantail goldfish got two more. I put him into a separate tank, but worried that he is suffering in the close quarters of the quarantine tank. We put more medication in the small tank last night.
If this is not Ich what else can this be? The fish doesn't seem to be bothered by the bumps. Please help!
Thank you.
