my new clowns had some white, small, salt grain size spots on them so i moved them to the 10 gallon tank im going to use as a hospital tank, im going to use quick cure on them...BUT! i have some mts in that tank that i dont want to kill, but i cant seem to find them at the moment, so what do i do?? should i hold off on the quick cure???And theres 2 otos ( already living in there for about 2 weeks, their fine) and 3 new pregnant looking cherry barbs in there that was my dad impulse buy that im going to quarantine too( they were purchase 2 days ago, same time with my clowns)

If you placed your new clowns in your main tank without quarantining at all, isolation is a big mistake. Aside from it adding stress to the fish, isolation is moot as the ich protozoans will already have infested the rest of the fish in contact with the clowns. You can use table salt at a dosage of tablespoon per 5g and increase heat as high as 86 degrees Fahrenheit (if your fish can tolerate it). Switch on all airpumps to ensure oxygen is maximized. When you treat with salt, please dissolve it thoroughly and add slowly.

i have plants in the qt tank too, so i dont want to kill them nor up root them, so i dont want to do salt, can should i just raise the temp up and wait on using the quick cure?

Salt treatment is only temporary. Even if the plants appear not to take to salt easily, the damage is only temporary. Meds are last resorts. Stick to salt for now. Both are effective but meds tend to have bigger impact on the biological filtration and the fish if overdosed.

the 10 gallon was my first tank, so i didnt have any type of good substrate for the plants , only plain old gravel, so it takes them a lonnnnnggg time to grow, i do dose fertilizer some times. but now the plants just started growing, i dont want to do anything to harm them, it took so long D=
