ich treatment not working

guys its finally working!!!! the pleco, which was the one i could see all the spots on, has only a few left. i'm going to change the water today, and treat again, then probably monday or tuesday, change a small amount of water, and start with the carbon. does my biomax have ich? or when i take it out of my canister, could i put it in another filter, on another tank to keep it cycled?

You really should read the linked article, stopping treatment too soon will only lead to recurring ich problems. If you don't want to read the article here, there are about a million or so other out there on the web. When the ich falls off your fish it is still very much alive in the tank. if you put your carbon in on Monday or tuesday, you will remove the meds before they can kill the ich.

Cool

I'm glad to see Quick Cure working. Yeah, keep the biomedia in the tank. That way your meds will kill any parasite on it. There's really no big need to filter out the Quick Cure, unless you plan to add a different type of meds. Yes, daveedka is right on in keeping the meds in the tank. I've read the article too. It's just my personal preference to use meds. Usually, the strongest and widest spectrum for the condition. I very rarely rely on salt for anything in this hobby.

Keep us posted on the Pike's progress.

They Seem To Be Doning Alright. They Were Gasping For Air Yesterday Night Which Made Me Nervous, But They Got Over That. So The Carbon To Remove The Quick Cure Isn't Even Necessary? I Can't Wait Till This Is All Over.

Carbon

Basically, follow the instructions of the manufacturer of Quick Cure. And what that daveedka's article says also makes sense. Keep the medication in there for a reasonable duration, to kill off all of the ich parasites. I would think that you would be able to get the medication's remnants through your normal water changes and filter media changes. Eventually, the medication would be out of your water. I'm glad your fishes are doing better.
