thanks for all the info, I rescued some fishes from a really dirty tank and some show signs of ich while others seem to have fin rot? (damaged fins), and white mucus on their fins. What methods are safe to combine together?
The guy had them way overstocked (5 small blue acaras 2-3 inches each, in a 5 gallon!) and when i got home I tested his water which showed horrible results. Surely this treatment didn't help them get well, but for now they are in my 30 gallon, no other fish in there (just a snail). I know they will outgrow this tank but I plan on getting another bigger tank for christmas so I guess they will live better in a freshly cycled 30 gallon for 2-3 months than in a 5 gallon. Since I put them in the tank, they started to show better colors. They have good appetite so I guess it's not too late to save them.
