Ich Treatment

Ich parasites seem to be falling off.Is this when the parasites will be killed by the salt solution? Also I was wondering if I should be feeding during the treatment?

maybe the increased temp is causing a bacterial bloom? Just a thought. The parasites will fall off the fish into the gravel as cysts, then they will become free swimming. THATS when they will be killed. The increased temp will speed up the process.

Well, everything seems to be going ok,the ich cysts are falling off, tank cloudyness is starting to subside, tank temp still at a steady 86 deg f,anyone know when I should do a water change,to start getting all of this salt out of my water?

Also when should I start to lower tank temp?

To be safe and not to see ich any more I would run the treatment for at least 2 weeks. You can still do water changes just add enough new salt to make up for any salt you remove. And Dave's article tells it all in great detail.

Yes,I have now read the article (great article by the way,Thanks Dave).
Things seem to be progressing nicely, only one cyst left on the oscar,i sure hope this crap dosen't come back.I sure felt sorry for my fish all covered in that crap, they seemed so uncomfortable, scraping themselves on the rocks and gravel.Anyway,I think I have It clinched, and again, thanks!

The last cyst fell off my Oscar.
I'm sure glad I went the salt route, instead of the way more expencive and stressful malachite green route.

Midas fish starting ot terrorize all the rest of tank mates.Digging huge holes in substrate????????
