ICH treatment

How much salt per gallon for ich treatment and can I use table salt?

Hi Nursie,I'm treating for an outbreak of ich right now,i used regular morton table salt,at the rate of two tsp per gallon,wich was 200 tsp for me,also raised tank temp to 86 deg f.Everything seems to be progressing fine for me,as I just started treating yesterday.The ich cysts are already falling off.

Thanks for the replies. I read your original post Cyberbeer, saw the amount that you added, but didn't know the size of tank, so couldn't figure it from that.
I searched around and couldn't find anything..becasue it wasn't obvious....my bad! I finally found the article, ashdavid and read it. I had seen it before, but just couldn't find it. I almost came back and deleted this, but decided to leave to to see if anyone had any different answers. Thanks!

If you decide to use an ich med, remember clown loaches don't respond wel to it. I'd go with the salt. Plain old table salt is ok too.
