I have a 100 gal tank with assorted african cichlids, an angelicus cat, a spotted raphael cat, and a small plecostumus. One of my aceis appears to have ich on it, and I think some of the other fish look like they may have it, too. I want to treat the tank to get rid of the ich, but am not sure what to use since I have a pleco and I know they are sensitive to certain meds. Are they sensitive to Quick cure? What should I use?

Most recommend a heat and salt treatment, 1-3 teaspoons of (non-iodized) table salt per gallon of water and if you're keeping the temp around 78 that should clear it up in about two weeks.

Here's the link for describing the treatment http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1657382&postcount=2

If you haven't had any recent introductions into your tank (i.e. in the last month), then it's possible that the ich has been resident in the tank for a while and that something like a change in water conditions has brought it out. I had a sudden outbreak in one of my victorian tanks when I had a nitrate spike (the tank was being overfed).

Stay away from copper based meds, malachite green, or sulfa medications when treating plecos since they are particularly sensitive to those substances.
