I set up our first salt water acquarium March 17/07 and started 2 months ago with 3 pajama cardinals. Everyone is doing great. I added about a month ago a raccoon butterfly and noticed that it has developed a ball white spot on its back fin. It has had this now for about 3 and a half weeks but it has not spread and it seems to be doing fine. The cardinals haven't developed anything. The SG is around 14 so it is low and from what I've read these guys and supposed to be resistant to ick. What could it be? Please help.

Ick or Not??

No, everything else seems to be fine in the tank. PH is a little low about 7.7 to 8.0 but I don't have any corals in the tank and it is a bare bottom 56 gal tank with decorations. I really do appreciate the posts back to me as sometimes you feel like no one sees them. The fish store doesn't have Pimafix but does have a thing called Fungus Guard which I think I will try to see if it makes a difference. Would it be ok to treat the tank with the Pyjama Cardinals in it as well or would this medication hurt them?
