SW ich can survive in salinity that low as hyposalinity treatment methods for SW tanks require a lower salinity than that.
Looks like Ich. No sign of it Saturady night two Colombian Sharks coated Sunday morning. Two half banded Scats had no spots but had taken on a light red discoloration. This morning one 10 inch shark and one 6 inch scat dead. Parametres are a little high but certainly not fatal high. However I had done an emergency water change prior to the reading and had added an Ich treatment (don't know if that would throw off the reading). Would a filter crash cause a skin disorder similar to ich? Other symtoms are laboured breathing and swimming at surface.
I'm bringing Salinity down to 1.009 in case it is Marine Ich. I've also increased the temperature and surface agitation. In the meantime I'm at a loss so if anyone has any suggestion please let me know.
