here are some better pics of the fish i think is a peacock. I really appreceiate your peoples help because im new to africans and all my LFS cant tell me what species they are. I purchased a book on cichlid ID but still cant match all of them up. I know for certain that the really dark blue one is a peacock, and the baby striped one is a kenyi. thank you all for all the advice, I'm really scared that there will be a compatibility issue as they get older. I have a total of 8 cichlids and one common pleco about 10" long in a 55 gallon.

the dark blue one may be an Aulonocara "peacock" but it may also be a Copadichromis species. the top picture is a juvenile peacock of some sort, perhaps a female Aulonocara sp. "Rubescens" but the picture just isn't clear enough for identification. i don't see any kenyi .. the middle also isn't clear enough for a definitive identification.

to me the dark blue "peacock" isn't a peacock, but a electric blue ahli. which is a hap. specie, and not a aulonacara "peacock".

Sciaenochromis fryeri is the name for the ahli.
