ID Help- Cichlids? What type, species?

nahh, 50 gallon will be ok for around 6 tropheus, just make sure you keep up the water quality and you'll be good. cool room aswell. And also tropheus moori aint that hard especially if you are dedicated and spend time on the tank.
 
All these other warnings about the Tropheus being so finnicky...they are true. The most important thing is to NEVER feed these guys food with lots of protein in it. Look at the ingredients of the food you buy, and most around here has ~30%. I had a Tropheus I'm positive died from this as well as a roomates Tropheus(both Duiboisi)

Finnicky fish, just watch the amount of protein...and NO BLOODWORMS. Get zucchini or cucumber or something. These fish can be really hard to keep with other fish for this reason.
 
Well an update... it's been about a year and a half and the tank is still going strong. I did lose a few tropheus from aggression, tried isolating them to regain strength, but when ever I reintroduced they would get back to being picked on.

Anyway, the reason I am updating is I have three small fry that I noticed today! Let's hop nature let's them stick around, they are soooooooooo cute!
