I am looking to id some moss I found on the white river. I have had it in my tank for several months it is growing real well . When I found it it was attached to a piece of wood .So the wood and all are in the tank. Anyone have a good site that has moss identification pics or names of mosses commonly found in the US?Or is there a moss guru here who might know?
Thanks

It was just the wood covered when I found it it has grown 4 inches in a couple months.

Is there a way you can take out a single strand and lay it out over a little white bowl or something similar so we can see the structure of the leaves?

There are a ton of aquatic moss species, and telling them apart is a job for an expert. Try to find a university bryologist who is willing to ID a sample for you; most experts are happy to do this sort of thing.
