Id my fish please.

These were illegally introduced to a local power plant poundage, the water is at a constant 28 degrees C and a ph of 8 because that's what the power station needs it at.

what are they?

edit: I managed to sell some to a local pet store I advertisd them as 'Blue zebra cichlid's" thinking that this would be a pretty general blanket term for these things.

they guy who brought 7 of them off me thinks they are convicts but i disagree. anyway i didnt argue with him at the time cause he was willing to give me $5 each for them

they look alot like the Cynotilapia afra except like reversed colors, like black where the blue is and blue where the black is, Ill take a good pic if i can get one and edit it into my origional post. back soon.

edit: Actually now that i look at the pics i see it looks very similar but still very different

Looks more like a species of cynotilapia afra to me, or maybe a cross of afra.

It looks alot like a

metriaclima estherae i think thats it.

IMO the vertical bars are a little dark for a M. Estherae,and the tail has a slight yellow hue to it. Possibly a hybrid... cool looking cichlids though:grinyes:

the photo above in the hand is a afra fo sure and in the video you can actually see the yellow hue in the fins so i am at afra sp. i am concerned that the dude told you convict was this a pet shop person who said this??
