ID please

reminds me of Lepidiolamprologus hecquii, but from what i was told he is only about 8 months old and is already pushing 4", but he didn't know the name of the fish.

Its a washed out Lepidiolamprologus Elongatus should be colored up good in a few weeks i would try giving him some krill in his diet.

The difference between Elongatus and Profundicolais that the Elongatus doesn't have the big set of teeth that the Profund has also the Elongatus has a more thicker head set with a wider yellow bar over the eyeball also take notice of the spots aligned on the side of the body in the photo above they will be more distinct when fully colored..

98% sure it is a Lepidiolamprologus Elongatus.. wait a couple of weeks feed a steady diet with some krill once a day and re-photo lets see what he looks like then..

At any rate nice fish buddy if you tire of him send him my way.. I love my Lepidio's man..

well one of the owners at my lfs is breaking down his personal african tanks, 2 180 gallon and 1 220 gallon, all fish are f0 or f1, this was the only fish that he didn't know the exact name of, but he has 2 more of them, i think he's asking $35 a piece.

Full size or shipping size and same area as you.. man that would be sweet HMM KY to GA that might be doable..

I think Pitt will make a trip to Georgia very soon. :grinyes:
