id plz/ nem help

can someone id this fish? when i bought it the label said canary blenny but the employee told me it was a midas blenny.


My anemone that i bought yesteray was nicely located on the outside of a rock but this morning i check the tank and it squeezed into a small hole.

I'm hearing that anems will shrink up about once a week and this is normal. They also seem to do it after being stressed.

It looks a bit like a fang blenny to me (Meiacanthus) Which if it is, be careful because they have venomous fangs.

Yes, a fang blenny, Meiacanthus tongaensis. I'd leave the anemone alone. It seems to have been bleached and is likely to have a high photosensitivity (sensitive to light) at the moment as a result. Give it time and attempt to feed it if you can.

I agree on all of the above. Additionally your tank is fairly new if I remember. Did you test for Alk, Ca, Mg etc?

yes params are all good exept my alkalinity was at 12 and i couldnt do a water change for over a month due to having a knee operation.
