they are polyps polyps are mouths with tentacles they can eat but they just primaraly depend on light. mine eat all the time i spray the phytoplankton in the water and when it gets to them the role in the tentacles and pull the food to the oral disk and then close and open when they are ready for more.
ive also observed feeding under my microscope as well.

i was aware that they folded up and that they do have mouths, i jsut didnt think they were actualy able to INJEST and eat something that was so smally.
buuuuut: they grow so fast youd be over run with them if they wre able to feed and you did feed them :bday: haha
