Right now I have 2 ID sharks in my 55g. They are about 3-4". If I can't find anyone with a big enough tank to take them I will get a 200g to keep them in. From the species profile it said that was the min. tank size. Anyways could I keep anything else with them? If so, what would be suitable tankmates? They seem like such shy fish but I'm sure they will outgrow that.

The species profile also mentions that they can attain a length of 40". A 200 gallon tank is grossly undersized for an iridescent shark; you've got two serious tankbusters there.
This was also in the species profile of the fish:

I've noticed that many of the larger fish in the AC profiles have minimum tank sizes listed that wouldn't even allow room to turn around, much less swim.

Well I bought them before coming to this forum and on the advice from my LFS that they would be fine in my 10g. Since then I have certainly learned otherwise and moved them over to my 55g. My LFS won't take them back, I already checked into that. I would like to find someone with a huge tank but what should I do with them if I can't find anyone?

1. Euthanize them now while they are small and it is easy to do.
2. Never, never go back to that wretched store.

You really don't have many other options do you?

You could see if someone will take them from here, post in the classifieds. Just a thought.
