The pond with some Triops
uh... yeah.
he has a cone spiraling out of the shell, brown shell, fuzzy, grey body.

if it's a pond snail, I'm such a bunghole.

a pic would be nice. sounds a little like an MTS, but a pic will be the best way to find out what it is.

no, but they can reproduce quickly. if the one you got has some eggs, expect more soon.
 
i find any snails beneficial, especially MTS's. you probably won't know that you have a bunch of them until at night because they burrow in your substrate and help to aerate it.

true, they are more of a blessing than a curse unless you have too much organic material in your substrate..
