Hey all,
I am putting together a 10 gallon tank I had extra and could use some suggestion for what to put in to it. I would like something with color, but I am still new to this so I was not sure what would be best. I will be placing live plants into it next week and hope to put fish in a few weeks after that.

Thanks,
Aeromc79

In my 10 gallon I have:
4 Harlequin Rasboras
2 Dwarf Gouramis
2 cory's.

They all live very well together. I do weekly water changes.

My 10 gallon has a male Betta, an Oto (should be three, but he kills the others), and four Cories. Good luck with yours!

My 10 gallon from my specs page...

Equipment:
-30w flourescent lighting(6500k trichromatic-coralife)
-Aquaclear 200(3 sponges)
-DIY co2 (2 liter)

Substrate:
-flourite (3" back, 1" front)

Decor:
-white quartz, obsinian stones

Plants:
-Cardamine lyrata
-Echinodorus rose

Fish:
-5 Neon tetras
-1 Betta Splendens

Other:
-numerous snails(Physa acuta?)
-5 amano shrimp

I was thinking about adding a few more tetras or rasboras to this tank.

10 Gallon beauty

I've got a 10g set up nicely

with a AC mini, 1 gallon CO2, and plants up the wazoo.

Regular old gravel. I'd like some fluourite

An incandescent hood with 2 19W powercompact 6500K light bulbs from Consumer Electric! (3.8 Watts per gallon baby!)

7 baby Cherry barbs for color,
And boy do I want some angelfish.

Would angels fit in a 10g tank?

Anyway, small tanks are sweet. Choose everything in it intentionally and wisely and you'll have quite a composition!

Josh,
Unfortunately, that tank is way too small for angels. It may also be too small for the cherries once they get bigger. I would suggest a 20-long or larger for them and a 30+ for the angels.

I have 6 X-ray terta (Pristella maxillaris) in my 29 gallon (among others). They would be nice - look cool, really active, school and only grow to 1.8 in max.
