Me, too. I think the Tidal is great, but, it's huge, and sometimes that's not an ideal characteristic in a filter. I also hope to have baby shrimp, and the overflow seems to just be waiting for shrimp fry to get too close.

You can always use that hob filter on a smaller tank in the future.
The media is just thrown in there with way too much bypass.
I'd keep it simpler and just cut to size a couple pieces of floss.
