Hi !!! Just new here...

I bought this fish when it was pretty small and the store told me it was an Ancistrus.... But as it grows, it's obvious that it's not one... I was told that it was probably a L-001 ????

What do you think and is it a rare species ???

L-001, pterygoplitchtys joselimaianus commonly as gold nugget sailfin pleco. It's not rare but still a nice fish.
Pterygoplitchtys (sailfin plecos and commons are in the family) get large(12-18" and up). They can take care of themselves just fine and do well enough in a cichlid community tank. The are omnivores but do like a good amout of veggies. I usually feed zucchini and yellowsquash - a 12" sailfin can chow down a 6" zucchini in a few hours.

They keep the tank nice and clean but make sure you have enough space.
