identifiy snail

hey guys, i forgot what kinda snails i bought today, there very small (1/2cm long), and are supposed to be excellent for eating alge, there long cone shaped shells, the picture really sucks but it was the best one i could get, I tried taking 15+ and they all turned out like crap so sorry about the bad picture

Yeah the picture does really suck, but if there cone shaped i'm 99% sure you have Malaysian Trumpet Snails.

yea they look very much like that, is there anything you can tell me about them, what they eat, how big they will get, etc.?

They get about 3/4"-1", eat any leftover food and decomposing animal/plant matter, give live birth, and spend most of the day in the gravel/sand, and come out at night (if you see them out in any quantity during the day, epsecially near the aquarium top, it generally signals a water quality problem). They will not eat your plants, and will do an excellent job as detrivores and will keep your gravel stirred and oxygenated.
