HOLY SH** LUVMYKRIBS I JUST SAW YOUR PIC AND WOW! LOL SORRY BUT YOUR INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL!!! sorry had to say it. Anyways I dont know much about cichlids but they look like some that I have! I hate it when they put "assorted cichlids" up and not the real names. They are really pretty tho.

I just turned 20 in december... i know im a youngun! I have been keeping freshwater on my own for about 5 years now... and i had bettas and a family tank before that.
About a year ago i got my first africans and i've fallen in love with them.. i quickly went up to 7 tanks in my room. Just reccently i took down 2 tanks to put up my 90 gallon. http://www.aquariacentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41170 Theres a pic.
Lately ive been wanting to try saltwater, and im thinking of converting one of my 32 gallon grow-out tanks to salt. Needless to say im a little nervous, salt is uncharted territory for me

lol not that young,I'm younger! but nice tanks. I have done salt for about a year now and just started fresh. You should try salt its incredible. Not to say that fresh isnt but theres just something so wonderful about having your own mini ocean in your house. Kinda like I guess walks on the beach are special or whatever, having part of that in your home is special ya know. I just added the cichlids to my 90g and they are scoping it all out. They really like the caves! But when going salt remember the bigger the tank the Better!
Also the bigger the tank the more expensive :sad I would love to one day have a 200 + gallon saltwater reef setup.... it would be awesome! i love looking at all the little critters on the liverock and stuff... and the colors are amazing! but the cost is what is holding me back. one day i will just go for it, hehe.

Yeah, there's so many interesting little critters in saltwater. It got too expensive for me when I was jobless a few years ago, so I gave all my saltwater fish and liverock away to a friend, and sold most of the equipment on ebay.
